Born on the 9th of June 1918, Polly brought magic to a quaint three-story building, turning it, with her devoted family, into a beloved shop.

Polly was a multifaceted gem: 

An animal lover, an inspiring teacher, a masterful 

salesperson, a passionate pianist, and, of course, a baking legend. 

 

Every Christmas, her dining table transformed into a dessert wonderland, 

laden with the most decadent treats.

 

Children and adults alike were invited to step 

into the extraordinary teatime at Polly's. 

 

Imagine a table adorned with a heavenly array of sandwiches, 

fairy cakes, meringues, macaroons, 

Vienna whirls, chocolate eclairs, Battenberg cakes, 

Victoria sponge, custardslices, and, of course, rich chocolate cake.

Polly's exquisite birthday cakes left friends and family in awe, 

while couples traveled far and wide to savour her famous wedding cakes. 

 

Although Polly passed just shy of her 100th birthday, 

her legacy lives on.
